Alert, 276 thousand malware applications spread in Android!

CALIFORNIA - A recent research report, shows that malware on Android devices has been increased up to 614 percent. Research conducted by Juniper Networks this also explained there are currently 276 259 malicious applications in the green robot platform. This number increased compared to the first quarter of 2012 last that only amounted to 38 689 malware.

This is presumably because Google Play app market is open, thus making it become an easy target for cyber criminals. Another case with the App Store on Apple devices that run the rigorous examination of all the software that will go into market. So that, will be more difficult for parties not responsible to smuggle malware.

Already since long many parties who criticize Google supervision on the applications available in the market was still very low. Thus, a third party can easily insert malicious software into the green robot platform.

"Apple has supervision of their applications with very good. Not mean Google is not good, but many its users are not realize the large number of malware contained in free applications from the third party it, "said Juniper's vice president, Michael Callahan to the site Register.

Not only that, other findings also reveals that the operating system Gingerbread 2.3 in Android has the most minimal security updates than other OS.
