Yahoo plans to announce its latest acquisition process on this day. The tech giant prepare fund $ 1,1 billion to annex Tumblr.

If successful, this step is the acquisitions that reached into the largest fund during Yahoo which is led by Marissa Mayer. Well, here's 5 largest acquisition Yahoo are quoted from various sources.

1. Broadcast.com 
Officially acquired on 1 April 1999 with a fund of USD5, 7 billion. Is an internet-based radio company which was launched by Christopher Jaeb in September 1995.

Broadcast.com change the name become Yahoo Broadcast Solution and divided into Yahoo Launchcast to music, and Yahoo Platinum for video.

2. Geocities
 
GeoCities was founded by David Bohnett and John Rezner in 1994 with the name is Berverly Hill Internet (BHI), and in 1999, replacing GeoCities - a site that allows anyone can be hosting sites free of charge. Yahoo annex this company on May 28, 1999 with a price USD3.57 billion in the form of stock.

Kelkoo is a price comparison service from France which was founded in 1999. On March 26, 2004, Yahoo acquired the company it with a price USD579 million.

Unfortunately in November 2008, Yahoo sell Kelkoo to private equity companies, Jemplant. This site is still in operation in 12 countries.
